Cosplay, the essence of every anime convention~~
I recently went to an anime convention last Saturday and this would probably be my WORST convention yet (well, just the sad part….continue to read….~).
It all started when I arrived to this convention about 3:00pm in the afternoon. I know I was really late but I actually expected the line (which is evident in every anime convention worldwide~) to be really short or even gone but I was soooooo wrong to see that there was a really long (and I mean long~) line filled with otaku’s, cosplayers, and enthusiasts but the worst part was that the line was barely moving! I was always early or I didn’t have to encounter a line in all the conventions I’ve been to so I just decided to patiently wait hoping that I would get inside in about an hour but once again, I was wrong. I’ve been waiting from 3:00pm to 5:00pm!!! What’s worst is that sometime about 5:00pm, some guards and admins responsible for the convention screamed that tickets were sold and that nobody was able to enter (well except the ones with tickets already~).
Well of course many was disappointed and furious when they heard the news but what can you do? There were really a lot of attendees given the big event location. I wasn’t that mad though since I was able to meet some friends who also unfortunately were unable to enter also.
I actually don’t blame the organizers and the administration for the really bad crowd control because I heard from some friends (who were able to enter~) that the convention (inside~) was a success. They even said that the atmosphere inside was like a school festival in Japan. I still do get jealous that I wasn’t able to enter but oh well….
Did you guys have any FAIL or WIN moments in an anime convention?

There are alot of cons that are ups and downs, I’ve been in line for hours for events only to get turned down at the door.
Conventions themselves create the Win/Lose scenario Anime Expo has been to me has had a lose scenario last 2 years with a couple win events but to me I like seeing new cons that incorporate the attendees over just money so my win might be the new con Am2 announced, but doesn’t leave out that AX might pull something big.
