Finally found 2 new teaser photos for Good Smile Company’s 1/8 scale Kanbaru Suruga from Bakemonogatari. I really like Good Smile Company’s Hitagi with some really awesome details so I’m crossing my fingers that this will be a success as well. What I love about this figure is the props around her. Good Smile Company really leveled up this figure from their usual works with white bases. I’m also pretty optimistic that the price will be affordable and worth it considering the detail.

No release info on this figure yet but hopefully reservations will open soon. In the same post as the preview of Kanbaru Suruga in Mikatan’s blog, they also shown how the 1/8 scale Hitagi figure, also by Good Smile Company was made. I especially praise the Good Smile Company team for their hard work on creating each detail below her skirt.

Last time it was a keyboard, but now it’s a gorgeous PC with the artworks of none other than Tony Taka. This will be the official PC of Tony with a choice of 2 covers: A gothic loli which is thankfully tame or an original character of Tony wearing a red swimsuit which might be a little embarrassing to bring outside home. Both laptops look absolutely beautiful with it’s neat and simple theme.

Prices for each PC will be a priced at a whopping Y150,000 which may leave Tony fans to think if this is really worth it. I think that if you have the extra money to buy this then I say go for it! Getting a Tony PC will make you very unique at the same time keep your otaku personality. Orders for this will end on January 30 2011 and will be released and delivered somewhere February 2011. This list is pretty much late but I’m still posting it anyway. I’m pretty impressed with the list this season because of the variety of genre’s and interesting plots. You can check out moetron blog to be the first one to be updated with the release of each anime and information. I’ll be commenting and talking about just some of the titles that looks pretty interesting and possibly worth watching for me. I really enjoy comedy and ecchi titles so forgive me if I’m biased here.

Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko

This anime has a pretty weird plot and may turn out to be a mediocre anime but I do have high hopes that the creativity of this anime will be a hit to otaku’s. I’ll be honest…the first thing that caught my eye when browsing through the list was the image of the very cute main character who is also a pizza lover like our very own C.C. I kinda wish this anime would be mixed with some comedy and/or ecchi to at least put fillers in the one of a kind plot.

A Channel

I have no idea on the summary of this anime due to the insufficient information given by the list. Again, I trusted instincts and judged the image. The characters kinda remind me of the Lucky Star crew so the same people who worked with Konata and the gang may also be responsible for A Channel. I’ll be expecting some great laughs with this anime.

Hana-Saku Iroha

The anime takes place in most likely an Onsen since that’s where the main characters will probably be in. I know what your thinking…It’s another useless anime with no story but a lot of boobs but I think there will be a story since the story is about people finding what they want to do in their life and not stripping pointlessly. I think this anime will be mostly serious with some laughs in the side. If this is a shallow anime then I’ll be expecting some ecchi scenes too.

Lotte no Omocha

What’s with people and harems? Lately, all the famous or infamous titles are all about harems. I haven’t watched any anime related to this topic so Ill be hoping that this title will be an improved version of all the harem related anime’s previously released. Hopefully there will be a good story amidst the comedy and ecchi.

Sket Dance

The plot of this anime kinda reminds me of the plot of the anime, Ookami-sama but I will still claim this as a worth watching anime because not a lot of titles have the same story as these 2 anime’s. Hopefully this anime would have some comedy and suspense in it.

Steins;Gate

Kinda predictable that this anime would be worth watching but still, it’s worth mentioning. This series takes place after the Chaos;Head anime but I heard reviews that this anime is not that good. Hopefully this one would be better. I absolutely love the artworks of this series since it’s by Nitro+ and all their character designs are heavenly especially those eyes. It’s pretty much obvious that this anime will be more on the suspense side.

Nichijou

Another kawaii anime?! I’m very interested in watching this because of the crazy world and characters described in the plot. I have a feeling that this won’t be an ordinary slice of life anime but a very cool and fresh story. I’m loving the cute faces of the characters so I will be looking forward for the unpredictable antics of the characters.

Showa Monogatari

I don’t have really high hopes for this anime but I find it interesting for those who really show their love for Japan. I feel that we would be able to sympathize what the Japanese were feeling at a younger time. I won’t be expecting ecchi or gore that’s for sure since it said that this anime is aimed for general family viewing.

Hidan no Aria

Another anime filled with guns! I feel this title will have a deeper story but still really interesting to watch. Im certain that the loli lovers would love this pink haired beauty who can kick some serious asses. Since I don’t love gore that much, I hope that this anime wouldn’t revolve around violence. Hopefully, this anime wouldn’t be another High School of the Dead incident.

Majority of K-ON! fans definitely did not expect this Azusa Nakano figure to be release since their last K-ON! figures consisted of the girls in their Don’t Say Lazy (ending credits of K-ON!) outfit and Azu-nyan was not yet introduced in that ending. I’m actually happy that Kyoto Animation did this figure since I felt that the gang was not complete without her. I am actually impressed with the quality of each of KyoAni’s figures and I will be expecting the other members of the band to be released in their 2nd ending costumes.

No other release info was released about her.

Another Tony Taka figure? Well, of course…the Shining Hearts game will be released soon. I’m not surprised that another beautiful figure designed by Tony was released since I absolutely adore his work. The only problem I fear though is the quality of how Kotobukiya will make this figure but since their recent figures look pretty good besides their Touhou Project line which has a disappointing face. Other than that, I wouldn’t worry much about the outcome of Kaguya.

I don’t believe any important information was released about her besides she’s set for release sometime Spring 2011.

Sorry Griffon and all the large figure manufacturers who has attempted to make a Hakurei figure but I honestly think that Hobby Japan did their magic again with this stunning 1/8 scale figure of Hakurei Reimu from Touhou Project. The figure was originally a garage kit by Sakura Zensen. No other information about her although I’m hoping she won’t be an exclusive.

I can’t be so sure about the final outcome of the figure since I seen a lot of figures look great in the unpainted preview but have second thoughts after seeing the completed figure so I’ll always be looking twice after more previews arrive. So far, this first preview is really eye catching for me and the pose is gorgeous especially with those little shrine props.

First of all…Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone! I thought that my Christmas and New Year spirit would be lost but thankfully I still felt it thanks to my family. 2010 felt really fast and I think it’s because time flies faster when you’re having fun! A lot of good things happened this 2010….Finally starting to build up my large figure collection, being more conscious about the things I wear, and a lot more! I do believe that 2011 will be a better year for me since I have gained so much knowledge this 2010.

Now for my top 5 New Years resolutions!!! I don’t even think I will do everything in this list but might as well try….

1. Blogging More Often

- I really hate posting stuff rarely but I tend to get really tired to post after school but this time it’s final, I’m posting at least 3 blog posts a week! I’ll also try to include figure news since that’s also a pretty hot topic to bring in new visitors!

2. Pass the last Quarter of School

- It’s already the last segment of my 1st year of high school life and I never had grades this BAD!  I’m already attending tutorials for my math subjects but I still have to get good grades in all the subjects. Gambatte!!!

3. Get thinner!!!

- Too depressed to elaborate….

4. Better choices in figure buying

- I’ll focus more on quality over quantity that means no buying figures for the sake of buying or because it’s cheap. There’s a reason it’s cheap sometimes! Spending less also lands here too. Being a student without income, I really don’t like spending too much of my parents’ money for my figures.

5. Buy a porfessional camera

- I don’t wanna feel cool or anything, I just want to have quality images when I go to some memorable places and of course, the occasional figure photography.

Finally the moment has arrived for figma collectors and those who just love reading Danny Choo’s site to finally get his sites mascot, Mirai Suenaga in Figma form. Danny Choo really shows his excitement and passion for making this awaited figure thru the different updates he has posted in his blog and even mentioning her status in his show, Culture Japan.

I personally adore this Figma because it has such beautiful accessories and a very cute face. I think the mini camera and laptop were inspired by the same accessories Danny’s dolls use in many photoshoots of his.

Probably the most anticipated fashion show for girls and guys (yes, guys watch this for entertainment~). The Victoria’s Secret fashion show happened sometime the first week of November but aired on TV on November 30 2010.

I used to think this event was for girls only and it still is for but a lot of men like watching this too like myself. You’d usually think that people attend this event to only see half naked goddesses walking around but the costumes and music (I knew a lot of great music thanks to the show~) blend really great together.

The show itself has different kinds of themes every year except for Pink which is a colorful line that is showcased every year. This year the themes were Tough Love which showcased costumes with strong personalities, Country Girls which showed simple farm life, Wild Things which featured costumes inspired by wild life and the African spirit (rawr~), and Game On which simply shows costumes inspired by different kinds of sports and physical activities….. So enough about me raving about the show, here’s some screenshots of the event….

The moment finally arrived when  Miku will be getting her english voice! Miku Hatsune’s official facebook page confirmed that people are already working for Miku’s english voice with a demo to be released soon.

Regarding “English Miku” project, we’ve already done a brief recording last week. Now we are checking the pronunciation etc. Those voices are very kawaii you should like them! I hope we’ll show you a demo soon. But please understand it takes time. I’ll keep you informedanything new for this project.
